Evergreen State

It has been a while since our last post so we decided to finally post these pictures that we uploaded about four months ago but never got around to posting. We took a trip to the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma WA, which is near Seattle. We took the long way there and went through Mount Rainier National Park. We had a great time, the weather was good, and it was beautiful. We even got to see a bear, but by the time we got our camera out it was far enough away that we didn't get any good pictures.

The Peak of Mount Rainier, it was amazing.

Whitney, Logan, and Riley at a waterfall in Mount Rainier National Park.

Spencer, Logan, and Riley at another waterfall in Mount Rainier National Park.

Logan being a Hermit Crab at the Point Defiance Zoo.

Riley with the sharks. This was the coolest part of the Point Defiance Zoo. There were a bunch of fish and about 20 sharks of various types about 8-10 feet long in the Aquarium.

This is at Gig Harbor which is across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge from Tacoma.

This is the Tacoma Narrows Bridge which is the largest twin suspension bridge in the world. I got this picture from Wikipedia.  We will have to take some pictures next time.

Logan is in one of his pouty moods, but we can always get him to smile, just a little bit.

On the way home we stopped at a place where this guy builds all sorts of things by welding pieces of random stuff together. It was pretty cool and best of all it was free. Logan likes to show us his funny face.

Another metal creation.

This last picture was on the way back home going through Mount Rainier. It reminded us why our license plate says "Evergreen State". Mount Rainier receives an average of over 83 inches of precipitation per year. The Tri-Cities, where we live, gets an average of less that 7 inches of precipitation per year. Needless to say, around our house it doesn't look anything like this.
